Welcome to Brian Craig Photography.

Brian Craig is a photographer in the Metro Detroit area. He has a passion for photography that started when he was 10 years old, when he saw his father shooting with a Minolta SRT 201. He was instantly drawn to this piece of equipment and longed to use it and see the images and memories it would capture, freezing a moment in time.

His interest in photography stayed with him through college. After shooting his way through a range of point-and-shoot cameras, he obtained his very first SLR - the Canon Rebel. In addition to digital, Brian also enjoys shooting film, 35mm or medium format.

In approaching every shoot, Brian focuses on capturing the moment, but also turning it into a piece of art. The result is both visually intriguing and communicates a story. Mixing digital photography with post-processing techniques allows him to create such images. Today Brian shoots exclusively Nikon digital cameras and uses a wide range of film cameras as well - from his dad's old Minolta that started it all, to a collection of Lomography cameras, to his 1950s twin lens reflex. Whatever he uses, he loves to shoot and can often be seen around town with a camera slung over his shoulder, looking for that great moment. You never know what the day will bring to your lens.

Brian has shot for many bands most recently he was asked to shoot for the bands Phish, The Avett Brothers, The American Secrets (The new FreeCreditScore.com Band), Danny Cox, Brae and Breath and Dirt.
